Pioneer Beat Panasonic and Sony To Be Consumers’ Choice Of TV

Shoppers voted Pioneer KURO their favourite brand of television in 2007, according to independent review website Reevoo, which analysed over 15,000 customer reviews of televisions bought last year.

In a TV market worth £6bn a year in the UK alone, Pioneer’s products were rated more highly than much larger rivals including Panasonic, Sony, Samsung and LG.

“Pioneer is delighted that the KURO has been chosen as the favourite television brand of 2007 by Reevoo users. Pioneer’s aim is simply to make the best televisions on the market and we are delighted to have achieved this objective, receiving acclaim from the press, industry experts and most importantly our customers.” said Heidi Johnson-Cash, General Manager for Marketing at Pioneer GB Limited.

Pioneer’s popular PDP4270XD gets dozens of positive comments on www.reevoo.com including Dan from Hampshire who said “A truly awesome television. Brilliant sound, easy to set up and use. My living room… is like my own cinema.” In fact, the one negative piece of feedback on the new 42 inch Plasma touched on something outside of the manufacturer’s control: “The TV didn’t include the fit bird from the brochure”

At the other end of the list were budget manufacturers Polaroid, UMC and Swisstec. The 15” Swisstec S15 6NG, which retails for around £150, is consistently described as having ‘tinny’ sound and problems with sound and vision not synchronising, although many reviewers are pleased with what it offers for the price.

Reevoo collects impartial reviews on behalf of around 50 online retailers and has reviews, images, features and price comparison for over 800 televisions at www.reevoo.com/televisions
