£650m deal will screen travellers into the UK

The Raytheon-led Trusted Borders consortium has signed the government's £650m eBorders contract, as revealed in Computing two weeks ago.

The scheme will screen every traveller into the UK against watch lists before they arrive in the country.

The consortium includes Serco, Accenture, Detica, Qinetiq, Capgemini and Steria.

The unsuccessful shortlisted candidate was a BT-led group.
