In a fierce battle of browsers, Mozilla, within less than a week after the release of Internet Explorer, just made available the final version of its Firefox 2.0 browser for download from their FTP servers.
The new Firefox browser can be downloaded from the following locations:
Firefox 2.0 for Windows (5.6 MB)
Firefox 2.0 for Mac and Linux (FTP Server)
New features in Firefox 2.0 [vs Firefox 1.5] include a fresh UI and better tabs. In addition, Bon Echo has:
* Inline spell checking: A new built-in spell checker enables users to quickly check the spelling of text entered into Web forms (like this one) without having to use a separate application.
* Enhanced search capabilities: Search term suggestions will now appear as users type in the integrated search box when using the Google, Yahoo! or Answers.com search engines.
You can subscribe RSS feeds using either Bloglines or My Yahoo! in Firefox 2.0
