Managed internet services provider Inty launches web-based threat protection tool, today
Managed internet service specialist Inty will today launch DeskDefender, a new service to protect firms’ desktops and laptops from web-based threats, while giving IT directors greater control over the management of individual devices.
DeskDefender features antivirus, anti-spyware, application control, intrusion-prevention software and rootkit detection tools in a single managed service, according to the firm’s founding director, Mark Herbert.
“We wanted to provide, from a hosted environment, defence in depth, right down to the desktop,” said Herbert. “Our philosophy is to put enterprise features within reach [of smaller firms].”
The service also features an online portal to give IT managers insight and control over company laptops and desktops.
