Reseller lands Gold partner status from two vendors

Reseller Lan2Lan has been awarded Gold partner status from both Microsoft and security vendor Fortinet.

Gary Duke, sales director at Lan2Lan, told CRN: “There are 30,000 Microsoft partners in the UK, but there are only 250 Gold partners. We are a SME and have worked hard in all of our competencies.”

Duke added that achieving Gold status with Microsoft and Fortinet will see the vendors put more focus on Lan2Lan. “We have had a Fortinet relationship for the past three years,” he said. “We are a UK training centre for them. The Gold partnerships move us into a new playing field and you have to work hard to certify every year.”

Peter Smith, channel manager at Fortinet, said Lan2Lan has become only the vendor’s third UK Gold partner, alongside Vistorm and Integralis.

“Lan2Lan is a good partner,” Smith said. “It has an established name and some good accounts.”
