ISV formalises channel programme

ISV Digital Union is confident of increasing its European market share, following the formalisation of its on-demand partner programme.

Digital Union, which is owned by holding company Verticalnet, said that the programme will enable e-sourcing service partners to access its sourcing software, such as Verticalnet XE Supply Management suite. The software can then be in operation 24 hours after it was first requested by the reseller. This is permitted through an on-demand facility that allows partners to re-brand the software and deliver it directly to end-users.

Paddy Lawton, managing director of Digital Union, told CRN that it has seven partners signed up to its partner programme in the UK, and that partner numbers have already reached double figures worldwide.

“[The programme] is the main way that we will get into Europe. The easiest way to do that is through the channel. Our investment gives us a broader audience and increases penetration into the sourcing market, as well as the mid-market,” Lawton said.

James Anthony, business development manager at e-Three, a sourcing firm that recently joined the programme, said: “We have already signed up a deal through this. Because we are a software-independent e-sourcing company, Verticalnet has offered us several advantages, including ease of use.”
