Manufacturer looking for national resellers for new Executive programme
Acer is looking to recruit VARs for its new Executive partner programme, due to be launched in May.
Semmy Levit, Acer UK country manager, told CRN: “We’re holding a series of roadshows at the beginning of May throughout the UK, where we will officially launch Acer Executive. However, we have already started recruiting and have about 15 partners on board. We would like to have 25 Acer Executive partners by July.”
Acer Executive VARs will be required to sell to medium-sized businesses and small corporates.
Levit said Acer wants to recruit national resellers or “large resellers”. He said: “Acer has to be either their first or second vendor.”
Paul Graham, managing director of e-tailer ExciteIT, said: “Acer is predominantly a consumer brand, so it is a good move for it to focus on the business market.”
