Chief executive and chairman change places to focus on growth
Aruba Networks has undergone a job swap at the top with current chief executive Don LeBeau exchanging roles with current chairman Dominic Orr.
The wireless networking vendor's new chief executive, Dominic Orr, said: " Given the irreversible trend toward mobility in enterprise networks, the opportunity for Aruba to become a significant force in the networking industry is very real.
"Aruba is already leading the industry in driving the adoption of secure enterprise mobility, as the Mobile Edge architecture continues to gain significant traction within the enterprise," added Orr.
Aruba's newly appointed chairman of the board, LeBeau, said: "Dominic is the clear and obvious choice to step into the operating role at this very critical time. This allows me to continue providing the important strategic contribution necessary for Aruba's next stage of growth, while allowing a strong team to operate under an experienced leader like Dominic on a day-to-day basis."
Doug Leone, representing Aruba's Board of Directors and Sequoia Capital, a lead investor in Aruba, said: "With Aruba's continued growth, we need to add additional operating capacity to the leadership of the company while also preparing for operating as a public company down the road.
"This restructuring of roles enables us to continue to benefit from Don's aggressive leadership, while better leveraging Dominic's vast operating experience and unequaled history of success. We are fortunate to have two senior industry leaders working together to fulfill Aruba's extraordinary potential," Leone added.
