Secure messaging systems provider Mirapoint has launched a policy-driven email archiving appliance.
ComplianceVault is a simple plug-and-play appliance that allows firms to manage all their messaging content, from email to instant messages, said Mirapoint. It includes 1 terabyte of on-board storage, approximately enough for 14 months of data at a 1,000 seat firm.
Administrators can set the system to their own requirements, and attach it to any email server. Mirapoint said the appliance uses corporate email policies to categorise and store messages. ComplianceVault will also strip spam and other unsolicited emails out of systems, lessening the storage load.
“Email archiving is one of the highest-priority messaging issues for our enterprise customers” said Barry Akiro, president and chief executive of Mirapoint, in a statement.
