Ingram extends SanDisk deal

Deal will start with Germany and four Nordic countries before extending to rest of Europe

Ingram Micro has extended its distribution agreement with SanDisk to cover Europe.
Under the terms of the agreement, the distributor will now be able to carry the vendor's flash memory data storage products for a range of devices, such as digital cameras, USB flash drives and multi-function mobile phones, starting in Germany and the four Nordic countries.

Anita Lussenburg, director vendor management at Ingram Micro Europe, said: " We are delighted to be starting business with SanDisk in Europe and to be able to add its impressive array of flash memory products to our line card.

Lussenburg added that its new agreement with SanDisk across Europe would enable its reseller partners to generate sales opportunities in a range of new markets.

"SanDisk's portable, high-capacity storage solutions present an interesting sales opportunity for our reseller customers across Europe," he added.

Ed Moro, managing director SanDisk EMEA, said it had enjoyed considerable success with Ingram in America.

"We are confident that with Ingram Micro Europe's dedication to the market for mobile and converged devices we'll be experiencing similar success with them in Europe.

"With Ingram Micro we open up to a new, additional distribution channel for us in Europe, giving us access to Ingram Micro's large base of VARs and IT resellers addressing the SMB market," he said.
