Industry veteran Brent Rhymes appointed president & CEO of leading supplier of IT process automation and integration software
Skywire Software, a leading global provider of software and services to the insurance, financial services, and legal and professional services industries, today announced the spin off its successful line of iWave Integrator integration software into an independent company under the name iWave Software, LLC. The creation of the new company solidifies iWave Software as a leading independent vendor of IT service management (ITSM) integration software, and positions the company for entry into the fast-growing run book automation market.
“iWave has a 15-year history of providing mission-critical ITSM integration solutions to a global customer base,” said Patrick Brandt, president and CEO of Skywire Software. “As an independent company, iWave Software is well positioned for a new phase of rapid growth beyond ITSM integrations into the dynamic IT process automation market. Customers will see real benefits from iWave Software’s new status as an independent developer of IT integration and automation software.”
Brent Rhymes, who previously served as general manager for iWave Integrator, has been named president & CEO of the new company. Rhymes brings more than 16 years of direct industry experience in senior management, sales and marketing to iWave Software. He co-founded two successful technology startup companies, Knoxville-based FileKeeper, Inc. and Houston-based Gapware Solutions Corporation. Rhymes has also held senior executive positions at NetIQ, NEON Systems and Scalable Software, as well as sales and management positions at Microsoft Corporation, IBM and Exxon Company USA.
“Brent is an industry veteran who understands the needs of clients,” added Brandt. “The depth and breadth of his expertise and experience will help lead iWave Software through the next phase of its growth, to become the leader in ITSM and run book automation.” Independent analyst reports estimated the ITSM market at $15-billion last year, and predict that the market for run book automation will grow to $5 billion by 2009.
“Industry adoption of the ITIL service management framework is driving the need to integrate ITSM applications,” said Rhymes. “Enterprise organisations are looking for ways of sharing information between their internal IT service management silos, as well as electronically exchanging information with third-party IT service providers. iWave Software provides the broadest set of proven solutions available on the market, with pre-built IT workflows and integrations that install in minutes and deploys in days. As well, we are a proven solution that is both platform and vendor-independent, meaning large enterprises can deploy iWave Software in any IT environment.”
iWave Software provides software products to integrate, automate and orchestrate ITIL-defined service management processes including incident, problem, configuration, release and change management. Global 500 firms and major IT outsourcers use iWave Software to integrate and automate systems used to manage their enterprise computing environments, enabling them to lower their operating costs, reduce response times and improve customer satisfaction. Benefits to global enterprises using iWave software include: -
