The Media Momentum Awards 2008 today announces the fastest growing digital media companies. The prestigious invitation-only Media Momentum Awards organised by investment bank GP Bullhound, presents accolades to just five companies selected from an elite pool of fifty, all outstanding achievers and expanding rapidly in their field.

The categories (and winners) from the ceremony are as follows:

Best Management ( The Search Works )
Best Execution ( Net-a-Porter )
Uniqueness Of Offering ( Vibrant Media )
Digital Media Personality Of The Year ( James Murdoch )

The premium sponsors this year were 3i, Olswang and Sky Digital Media. The featured digital agency of the year was POD1, doing the visuals and presentations for the evening.

“Competition was fierce this year, but ultimately everyone involved in the awards is recognised by the industry as someone to watch”, the panel commented. Representatives from Google, Olswang and 3i amongst others were present on this year’s judging committee.

As well as specific best-in-category prizes, the top 50 companies are arranged in a league table based on revenue over the past two years. Over a third of the invitees came from digital agencies, with mobile the second most-represented sector with 14%.
