Xcelsius Engage is launched to aid enterprise reporting
Business Objects has unveiled a new toolset which it promises will make it easier for users to assimilate enterprise reports.
Xcelsius Engage adds a presentation layer to organisations' reports, making it far easier for end users to work with the reports, said Richard Neale, Business Objects' product marketing director.
Business users will be able to build their own dashboards and data presentations from spreadsheets and corporate databases, without having to touch the underlying code, said Neale.
“This has changed the game in terms of the quality of information you have to visualise,” said Neale.
Xcelsius Engage is available immediately and comes in three versions: the basic Engage 2008; Engage Server 2008 which adds integration with Adobe LiveCycle Data Services and Microsoft Reporting Services; the Enterprise edition is integrated fully into Business Objects' BI platform.
