Movius (formerly IP Unity Glenayre) helping operators attract new subscribers with interactive mobile media solutions
ATLANTA, Georgia - Movius Interactive Corporation, a global leader in messaging, collaboration and mobile media solutions, today announced it will be demonstrating a number of its next-generation applications at the Mobile World Congress 2008, in Barcelona. Movius, formerly known as IP Unity Glenayre, recently unveiled its new name and expanded strategic focus and will be using this forum to showcase some new applications for the first time.
“We are looking forward to making our debut as Movius, at the Mobile World Congress, where we will not only be displaying our new branding, but also introducing solutions to support our new strategic direction.” said Oscar Rodriguez, CEO at Movius. “With our new focus, we are enabling the higher level of interactivity and personalization that consumers expect with their mobile service.”
Visitors to the Movius booth (Hall 1, Stand no. F20) will be able to participate in a live mobile marketing campaign that bridges together social networking, video telephony and text messaging. Participants have a chance to win video games or even a complete Wii, Xbox 360 or PS3 game system by sending an SMS message or making a video call from their mobile handset. Participants will be able to leave their own video blog explaining why they want to win. This campaign is made possible via the messaging and interactive mobile media applications available from Movius including the Video Portal, a highly interactive application that gives video telephony users fast, direct access to their favorite video content.
Movius will also be demonstrating its new Mobile Instant Messaging. This new offer enables carriers to offer their own IM communities to create brand equity and new revenue streams. In addition, Movius will be demonstrating its latest offers for Video Mail, On-Device-Portals, Unified Messaging and Conferencing.
To see live product demonstrations of these new technologies, and other Movius products, visit the Movius booth (Hall 1, stand F20), at the Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, 2008.
