Reseller cuts ribbon on larger outpost in Basingstoke
Corporate reseller Kelway claims the integration of recent acquisition Elcom is nearly complete after opening a new office for Elcom staff in Basingstoke.
The new 8,600 sq ft location in Basingstoke’s Vertex centre replaces Elcom’s two old outposts in Basingstoke and Slough. Kelway bought Elcom from administration in June after the firm fell victim to industry pressure.
Phil Doye, chief executive at Kelway, said: “We have doubled Elcom’s sales force since the acquisition and now have plenty of space to double it again, which we intend to do.”
Doye confirmed there had been a “rationalisation” of Elcom staff in September when its warehousing and back-office functions were consolidated to Northampton and London.
Kelway, which partners with the likes of IBM, HP, Microsoft, EMC and Cisco, now has more than 180 employees and a turnover topping £100m.
