Projector lamp vendor Just Lamps has been forced to relocate earlier than planned following unexpectedly high sales figures.
In October Just Lamps shipped more than 10,000 lamps, a new company record that prompted it to bring forward its warehouse relocation to 3 December.
Dave Bethell, managing director at Just Lamps, admitted events at rival Hot Lamps which was recently acquired by Computer 2000 had precipitated the move.
“With Hot Lamps exiting the market we have had a noticeable increase in our UK sales, encouraging us to bring this move forward,” he said.
“Many of our new customers are saying they wish they’d found us ages ago.”
The company said it was stepping up its recruitment drive across all areas of the business.
