Vendor's results are the best ever and lead to plans for more channel funding
HP is riding high after posting its ‘best ever’ financial results in the UK and is planning to plough more funds into its channel for 2008.
The vendor recently added extra specialisations to its Preferred Partner Programme (PPP) and plans to focus its efforts on pushing loyal partner growth next year.
David Poskett, director of Solution Partners Organisation HP for the UK and Ireland, said: “We just finished our financial year in November. We are now a $100bn corporation and from a UK perspective we have had probably the best year yet.”
The vendor is planning no major changes to PPP next year.
“Our strategy will remain the same, but our focus will be on growing the business and investment,” Poskett said.
“In the UK we have invested $170m in our partners over the past year. Our theme is going to be investment in partners that will help us drive growth and reward loyalty.”
