CCI Distribution appoints new commercial manager and improves online presence
Storage distributor CCI Distribution has appointed David Pye as its commercial manager for the UK and has revamped its web site.
Pye has 12 years’ IT distribution experience and joins CCI from Centreprise International, where he was distribution sales manager for three years.
“CCI has been very successful over the years and it is exciting joining a company with a three-year budget growth plan,” Pye said.
He added that he would look to build on CCI’s £60m turnover.
“With my knowledge of providing similar products to a similar market, I can bolt my experience onto CCI’s plan to move into new product markets and branch out from storage,” he explained.
Nick Preston, sales director of CCI, which recently signed as an Hitachi storage distributor, said: “To maintain CCI’s position as a serious player in the UK, it was vital to invest in our channel team.”
Pye said CCI’s new web site is expected to provide several financial benefits to the distributor’s business; increase its registered partners, conversion rates and average order value; and improve customer retention and overall online revenue.
“The web site is to facilitate the smaller independent trader who can have access 24/7 and therefore increase their business. CCI is already in this market, but it is looking to tap into it further and make improvements for our partners.”
Pye added: “Speed plays a critical role in the online purchasing experience and the combination of our customer service and support, product data and SAP integration means we will provide our customers and manufacturers with even better results.”
