Income up nearly 50 per cent to £6m at US internet monitoring equipment supplier
Internet monitoring equipment maker Blue Coat Systems has seen second quarter profit rise 49.4 per cent to $12.4m (£6m) after bundling various products into a single offering to secure wireless connections.
Revenue was up 85 per cent to $73.4m (£35.7m) and shares surged 12.7 per cent to close at $37.34 (£18).
The company is planning to expand its presence in Asia, which accounted for 11 per cent of revenue in the quarter.
