Offering what could be the first 1kg notebook with the option for a discrete graphics card, LG redefines the concept of ultraportable computing.

According to Howard Lee, managing director for LG Electronics Singapore, the C1 and A1 Express Dual are the world’s first notebooks in the 1kg PC range to be equipped with a discrete graphic card. Indeed, the 256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 7300 chipset is rarely seen in 12.1-inch portables, making it even more spectacular considering that the new LG models have 10.6-inch screens. Though it may not be enough to handle high-end 3D games, it is certainly more than sufficient for video decoding and simple gaming.

Clad in a glossy piano black and glossy white chassis, the LG C1 Express is a convertible tablet version of the LG A1 Express. Slightly larger and heavier than the latter, it will cost S$3,999 (US$2,544.22) when it hits the stores in mid-November. The price and availability of the LG A1 Express will be released at a later date.
