Hybrid firm will stock Samsung's high-end laser printers and laptops
Hybrid firm Target Components has been appointed as a Samsung Power Partner and will now stock Samsung’s high-end laser printers and laptops.
Target operates both as a distributor and a reseller. However, the Samsung accreditation is for its VAR unit only.
James Yates, sales director at Target, told CRN: “This is the first time that we have stocked Samsung products. Even though it’s early days in our relationship with Samsung, the firm has already offered us a lot of support.
“Target has two sides: the distribution arm and a direct education sales arm. Both of these allow [us to make] a two-pronged attack with Samsung products. It would be great if we became an official Samsung distributor in time.”
Yates added that although Target tends to sell to smaller resellers, it often finds that it is compared to broadliners because of the services and brands it offers. “We are effectively a hardware distributor,” he said.
Adam Jubb, IT marketing manager at Samsung, said: “Although Target is also a distributor, we have appointed it as an accredited reseller.
“Target’s dedication to customer satisfaction and quality of service are the key reasons why it has become a Samsung accredited reseller.
Jubb added that the public-sector market is a massive growth area for Samsung and that it needs more resellers in this space.
