No charges to landlines in France, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK

VoIP service provider Vonage has announced plans to waive all international calling rates to landlines in France, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK for certain subscribers.

Customers signed up for the $24.99 a month Premium Unlimited Plan and the $49.99 a month Small Business Unlimited Plan will be able to benefit from this feature.

Current and future subscribers will no longer be charged the rates formerly billed per minute to locations within these countries.

"Vonage recognises that customers have to make their communications less expensive, and they can now call family, friends and business associates in Paris, Rome, Dublin, Madrid or London at no additional cost," said Michael Tribolet, president of Vonage America.

"By including calls to these European nations within our unlimited calling plans, Vonage is now able to bring friends, family, and businesses from around the globe closer together."

For $24.99 a month the Vonage unlimited calling pricing plans and features on the Residential Premium Unlimited Plan include unlimited calling throughout the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK at any time.

The $49.99 per month Small Business Unlimited Plan includes unlimited calling throughout the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, France, Italy, Ireland, Spain and the UK, including a dedicated fax line.
