E3 tradeshow bans Naughty America game

Too 'adult', say Electronic Entertainment Expo organisers

A dating game that allows users to chat and flirt online has been banned from the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) tradeshow.

Naughty America: The Game combines in-game chat with real-world profiles, as well as offering players games to play and places to explore.

"We were very disappointed to learn of E3's stance toward Naughty America: The Game as it's the next step in social networking and online matchmaking," said Noah Dudley, president of game developer Eight Legs.

Eight Legs stressed that the game includes Sentry's background verification services, allowing for a safe gaming experience.

E3 stated that it is banning the game because the "adult content" does not fit in with the show.

However, Dudley hit back at the claims. "It's certainly not intended for everyone, but then again neither are a number of the titles featured at the show," he said.
