More TOGcasting than podcasting
Terry Wogan has finally given in to the pull of podcasting and has given the practice a whole new term to deal with: TOGcasting.
Wogan's first audio files launched on the BBC website this week feature highlights of the radio show that users can listen to on their computers or MP3 players.
Older listeners to the veteran broadcaster's show are known as TOGs – Terry's Old Gits/Gals - hence the name.
"I've given up trying to beat them, so I'm joining them and I'm going to do it better. Look ma, I'm TOGcasting," Wogan told listeners.
Wogan joins Radio 1's Chris Moyles and Radio 2's Chris Evans who already podcast their shows on the BBC site.
