New Look signs £23m IT deal

10 year contract with Accenture will see further development of retailer's systems

UK fashion chain New Look has signed a £23m 10-year IT deal with Accenture.

The contract is a new extension to an existing deal, and will be used to develop New Look's trading, supply chain and retail systems.

Adrian Thompson, Director of IT at New Look, says he is pleased the deal has been extended.

'Accenture is key in providing assurance that we can trade on our systems effectively and continue to develop them,' he said.

'This helps ensure we continue to support a successful trading position, not just for today but also for tomorrow.'

The clothes retailer has worked with Accenture since 1998 on major projects to redevelop its IT infrastructure, including using core enterprise applications to support New Look through a big period of business growth.

Accenture will now be responsible for all the fashion seller's applications development, applications management and IT operations on its Oracle Retail suite.

Accenture will also manage New Look's migration to a new technology platform that will be integrated with the retailer’s automated distribution centre in Lymedale, Staffordshire.
