Magirus sees off competition from ITWay to capture european distribution division
InTechnology is on the verge of finally selling the European arm of its Allasso division to Magirus, as CRN goes to press.
As revealed by CRN last month, two suitors – Magirus and Italian-based company ITWay – were interested in Allasso. However, Magirus won the right last month to buy the firm after signing an exclusive agreement.
InTechnology acquired Allasso in June 2003 and integrated the UK arm of the distributor into its own business.
James Byrne, director at VAR Jcom, said: “Selling the European part of Allasso makes a lot of sense for InTechnology because it is not really a European company.”
Magirus and InTechnology were unavailable for comment.
