Seven-year contract will provide first-line support across National Programme systems
NHS Connecting for Health has signed a £41m seven-year contract with supplier Fujitsu Services to provide support for the National Programme for IT software applications.
The deal is designed to provide the health service with consistent first-line help desk services across the electronic care records, choose and book, eprescriptions and picture archiving and communications software.
There is also a framework arrangement so local NHS management can also use the supplier for service desk support for a wider range of IT systems.
The Fujitsu service will be up and running by the Autumn.
