Content security firm updates flagship product, enables easier management and improved protection
Content security specialist Clearswift has updated its flagship MimeSweeper device, to make management easier and improve protection.
MimeSweeper SMTP Appliance Version 2.3 includes a new feature called Personal Message Manager (PMM) to reduce the burden on IT administrators by allowing users to manage their incoming email traffic and, if necessary, release legitimate emails from a special quarantine area.
"We've focused on the whole application range with ease-of-use in mind," said Clearswift's director of research, Alyn Hockey. "The new PMM means IT administrators no longer have to deal with the possible email spams which get quarantined."
As a result of customer feedback, Clearswift has also improved the graphical user interface (GUI), including flow chart diagrams, to enhance the manageability of policy. And TLS encryption enables secure communication with third parties without the need for more complex encryption technology, according to the firm.
