Vendor reveals it is on target to recruit 1,500 new ISVs across EMEA
Oracle has claimed it is signing an average of three new ISV partners a day across EMEA since the launch of its dedicated Roadshow tour last September.
The software giant claims it is on target to bring an additional 1,500 ISVs into its fold by the end of May 2006, and that it has also signed more than 410 ISVs to migrate their solutions to the Oracle Fusion Middleware platform.
Oracle’s EMEA partner network currently boasts around 9,600 members, including over 5,100 ISVs.
Stein Surlien, vice president alliances and channels, Oracle Europe said: “By partnering with Oracle, ISVs have access to thousands of customers that already have Oracle databases installed. That’s an instant, ready-made target market for them. Additionally, we’re driving demand generation programmes to promote their solutions to SME customers across EMEA.
“Our ISV managers, technical support resources and ISV programmes are there to give ISVs the tools and resources they need. For ISVs, Oracle offers quite simply the most compelling partner value to help them build their businesses and grow their customer base.”
Ian Cowley, managing director at UK-based ISV Answer Solutions said: “Oracle is the right technology partner to work with when engaging with SMEs because of the amount of effort and resources it is dedicating to the SME marketplace. It not only supplies products, but it supplies expertise and marketing support – basically all the things that SMEs need but often cannot afford themselves.”
