VoIP vendor partners with VPN specialist to provide service to business travellers
Voice over IP (VoIP) provider Inclarity has teamed up with virtual private network (VPN) specialist Asavie to deliver a VPN-enabled internet connection and telephony service to business travellers.
With Inclarity’s service users can connect to the internet from abroad at local rates, making phone calls through Inclarity’s roamPhone VoIP service and also access their corporate server through Asavie’s VPN application. With one consolidated phone bill from Inclarity, business travellers can now tap into a complete virtual office from abroad, said the vendor.
Ralph Shaw, chief executive of Asavie, said: “Because our VPN is simply accessed through a website, it makes for a perfect marriage with Inclarity’s access solution, giving business travellers a complete office away from home. Inclarity is our first UK reseller and its past track record with selling high volumes of product was a major attraction for us.”
Paul Beaumont, chief operating officer of Inclarity, said: “Business travellers who use traditional ways to connect to the internet on the road provided by their hotel, and who pay for mobile roaming charges, face astronomical expense accounts. Ultimately these charges are making their businesses less profitable. Adding Asavie’s VPN to our mix, we’ve now got a very easy-to-use, secure, enterprise-class office experience for the business traveler."
