San Francisco - Two Embarcadero Technologies software program managers will share heir Eclipse expertise during presentations at EclipseCon 2008 in Santa Clara, Calif. next week, March 17- 20.
Embarcadero program manager Wassim Melhem will participate in three sessions on Eclipse Plug-in Development, including a two-part tutorial on the Plug-in Development Environment (PDE), as well as a birds-of-a-feather session where participants will discuss and debate PDE-related topics.
Melhem led the Eclipse PDE since the Eclipse 2.1 release through to the RCP renaissance and into the new age of OSGi runtimes. He also directed the design and implementation of the tools available in the Eclipse SDK to develop, test and deploy Eclipse plug-ins, rich client applications, features and update sites. Additionally, Melhem maintains a popular Eclipse-centric blog.
At EclipseCon, Embarcadero program manager Kenn Hussey will outline how Eclipse and the OMG can better work in partnership, provide an update on what is new in the Model Development Tools sub-project, and co-host the first of two Eclipse/OMG Symposia.
Hussey is the lead of the newly created Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN2) and Information Management Metamodel (IMM) components of the Model Development Tools (MDT) sub-project at Eclipse. He is also a member of the Project Management Committee for the top-level Modeling project and a committer on the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) sub-project at Eclipse. Hussey also maintains an insightful industry blog.
