If you're not a smart-phone aficionado, you may not have heard of the Taiwanese company HTC. Although not a household name, the company quietly has built some of the hottest Windows Mobile smart phones in the market today, such as the Cingular 2125, the Cingular 8125, and the T-Mobile MDA. HTC is here at CTIA, and I got a chance to take a look at some of its products, including the HTC StarTrek, which was announced at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year. Here are some details about the Razr-esque flip phone (a first for HTC):
Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone Edition
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE phone
Bluetooth (no Wi-Fi)
MicroSD slot
QVGA, 320x240-pixel screen
2-megapixel camera
HTC said it's in talks with a carrier but wouldn't reveal which one, and it also mentioned that the phone would be available this summer. Stay tuned for more details and pictures.
