Zeus to master Europe with its indirect model

Zeus Technology has cast its sceptre in the direction of resellers as it bids to become fully channel focused.

The networking vendor said that it has bold plans to expand its EMEA channel this year by replicating its 100 per cent indirect model across the continent. Currently, the vendor’s EMEA channel focus stands at 80 per cent.

Simon Cuthbert, EMEA channel sales director at Zeus Technology, said: “Zeus wants to move the UK model out to EMEA and offer its partners new routes to market, but without flooding it.”

Matthew Barnason, marketing executive at Zeus Technology, said: “Partners can become a certified seller through online pre-sales. Partners’ leads are registered and protected through PartnerForce to avoid channel conflict.”

Zeus has 12 UK and EMEA resellers as well as Bell Micro signed as its distributor, but has plans
to recruit more. “Zeus is not looking to overload the market, but will focus on the quality of its partners through joint PR and branding, which will also illustrate its commitment to the channel,” added Barnason.

Jon Collins, service director at analyst house FreeForm Dynamics, said: “There is an interest in this market because of discussions around going environmentally green, as application traffic management allows a customer to make more out of less.”
