ILX Group First To Market Enhanced MSP E-Learning That Aligns With Revised 2007 Office Of Government Commerce Guidelines

ILX launches new Managing Successful Programme (MSP) e-learning product

ILX Group plc, the Best Practice training specialist, has launched a new version of its Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) e-learning product. The new product supports the latest MSP best practice guidelines as defined by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in September 2007 and is aligned to the new examination scheme.

Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) is a best practice guide to programme management, developed by the OGC. A programme is a business change activity comprising of a number of discrete projects, which if managed in a consistent and co-ordinated way, are more likely to help an organisation achieve its strategic goals and deliver tangible and measurable benefits.

“We’re delighted to be the first in the industry to release this new MSP e-learning product, which in addition to mirroring the content of the new MSP 2007 guidelines, also incorporates several additional e-learning elements and features,” said Eddie Kilkelly, Operations Director, ILX Group plc, “At ILX Group we strive to ensure that each of our training products stays fresh, relevant and in step with the evolving best practice methodologies and techniques. The timely release of our new MSP product is another example of this commitment.”

The ILX Group’s MSP product teaches a structured and flexible framework that allows users to manage and control a programme’s activity. It includes advice on organisation structure, management processes, internal and external communications and strategic planning.

The new MSP 2007 e-learning is available either on an individual CD basis or as a corporate network licence. In addition, the course is also available as a component part of the ILX Best Practice Portal. Another industry first, the Portal is unique in its ability to provide a range of fully accredited programme, project and IT service management training, aimed at all levels of students. In addition to MSP, the Portal gives organisations access to the following subjects:

• PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner
• ITIL V3 Foundation
• APM Introductory Certificate in Project Management
• Finance for Non-Financial Managers.
