Telephonetics VIP and Kingston Communications agree new multi-million pound deal for cinema call handling


Telephonetics VIP, the speech recognition and voice automation specialist has signed a new multi-year deal with Kingston Communications to provide the network and co-location infrastructure to support all the cinema film information and booking calls for Telephonetics VIP cinema customers.

The calls that will be delivered by Kingston Communications equate to over 80% of the UK multiplex cinema telephone traffic. As part of the deal, Telephonetics VIP will continue to use Kingston Communications’ sophisticated CoLocation facilities for the hosting of their resilient 3,000 line speech platform.

Telephonetics VIP’s MovieLINE is the market leading speech-based application for cinemas and therefore requires a telecoms infrastructure that enables fully scalable and resilient self-service solutions.
