Fujikura Europe to demonstrate ‘Illumi-Array’ products at ARC 2008

Bringing its extensive experience of light transmission in glass to interior design and architecture, Fujikura has launched the Illumi Array series – using unique dot marking technology to form patterned arrays in acrylic, which are illuminated by high brightness LEDs. The products will be on show at next week’s ARC 2008, the premier trade show for architectural, retail and commercial lighting, taking place at the Business Design Centre, London, 11-13 February.

Visitors to the Fujikura Europe stand (G16) will see the Illumi-Rod and Illumi-Panel products, both of which deliver outstanding luminance at great cost efficiency. The Illumi-Rod product is in full deployment in high end automobile interiors in Japan.

The Illumi-Rod offers:
- High luminance from one LED
- A flexible Rod, enabling variety in design
- Chance to create linear outlines that follow surface edge
- Varying brightness
The Illumi-Panel offers:
- Multi-layer and multi-colour designs on single displays
- Transparent when turned off
- Curved designs
- Varying brightness

“This is a very exciting technology for us,” said Fujikura Europe product manager, Rob Walker. “The Illumi-Array products offer designers a new, innovative design opportunity that incorporates the latest LED lighting technology with state-of-the-art advances in the use of acrylic.”
