Google provides some fantastic technology, although you may not always be aware how useful this can be, for your system. Take the Google Browser Sync for Firefox. That enables a Firefox 2 user to synchronise their bookmarks across various editions of Firefox, whether installed on a Windows, Mac or Linux operating system. The Google Mail system will collate email from various sources and then provides it to you through IMAP so you can access on any computer, at any time, including your PDA or mobile.

Google Docs is a system that will enable you to store your most important documents, online, in your secure Google account. You can then synchronise these files between computers, or simply access from a remote computer. However, a basic version of these documents can also be edited online, such as a simple Excel spreadsheet or Word document. So, if you are writing up a report, you can login to your Google account then access the doc from any computer, without having to download it to the host PC.

gDocsBar is a Firefox add-on that enables you to manage your Google documents from within Firefox. You can simply upload, move around, delete or simply drop documents in to your account.

This add-on current works with the release version of Firefox 2. It won’t work with the beta of Firefox 3.

Bottomline
Looks like it could prove to be an ideal tool for managing your Google documents, without leaving your web browser.
