Eg eyes fast growth via indirect approach

Vendor aims for growth by moving into the channel

Operations intelligence software vendor Eg solutions is moving into the channel for the first time to grow its UK business.

Staffordshire-based Eg, which manufactures software aimed at building societies and financial services firms, operates a direct sales model, but chief executive Elizabeth Gooch indicated she is keen to talk to resellers. “We want to achieve faster growth and this move has been under consideration for some time.”

Gooch said she is looking to sign up about four systems integrators or IT services companies, adding that partners must be within the top five in their field.

Richard Jeffery, managing director of Eg competitor AOM International, said: “I do not know if an indirect approach will work for Eg. It has quite a low-level approach, but it does make people more aware of the kind of work we both do.”
