STOCKHOLM, Sweden — AT&T Inc. today announced the creation of a new AT&T sales center for the Nordic countries. Anders Juhlin, formerly director of Sales, AT&T Nordics, will take on the new position of sales center vice president, Nordic countries. He will be responsible for bolstering AT&T’s success in the region. Juhlin will be based in Stockholm and will report directly to Tom Regent, AT&T’s head of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

“AT&T’s top priority for 2008 is to build on the successes gained in 2007,” Regent said. “There are a great deal of opportunities for us in EMEA, particularly in the Nordics, and I am proud to have Anders on board to lead a more focused and direct approach to AT&T’s customers in the region.”

“AT&T has built a premier team of professionals in EMEA, and I am excited to be working with them to continue to reinforce AT&T’s position as the global provider of choice for Nordics-based customers,” said Juhlin. “AT&T has made bold moves to establish one of the world’s most powerful global networks and expansive portfolio of services, and Nordic customers will be able to benefit from this now more than ever.”

AT&T is focused on serving the networking needs of enterprises that require worldwide connectivity. The Nordics is a hub for many significant global corporations in the energy, manufacturing, high-tech and logistics and transport industries, and AT&T boasts a number of global customers with local headquarters in the region, including Ericsson, Metso and Cardo.

AT&T’s operations in the Nordics include Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) network infrastructure in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. This network connects Nordic customers to the AT&T global network. AT&T can provide resilient gigabit Ethernet connections to the voice, video and data network, hosting and security solutions available on more than 1,500 MPLS service nodes in the Nordics, with a DSL alternative in 438 cities and access to almost 1,000 Wi-Fi hot spots.

Juhlin has more than 10 years of experience in the data and telecoms industry. Before joining AT&T, Juhlin had been sales director for MCI/WorldCom in Sweden for more than five years. Prior to that, he had been the sales and marketing manager for Opus International, Telenordia (a joint venture of BT, Telenor and TeleDanmark) and Telenor Business Communication.
