NetManage adds legacy connectivity to Vista PCs

Upgrades to OnWeb, Rumba, and ViewNow product lines

NetManage has upgraded its entire line-up of legacy access tools to support Windows Vista, enabling firms planning a migration to Microsoft's latest operating system to continue to use applications hosted on legacy systems.

The firm has released upgrades to its OnWeb, Rumba, and ViewNow product lines to make them compatible with Windows Vista and the new Internet Explorer 7 browser, NetManage said.

OnWeb is a development and deployment platform for web-enabling applications on legacy systems such as mainframes. Rumba provides terminal emulation and connectivity to legacy systems for Windows desktops, while ViewNow provides similar access to Unix systems.

"Offering consistent enhancements to our entire product line reconfirms NetManage’s dedication to our more than 10,000 customers worldwide," said NetManage president and chief executive Zvi Alon.
